Dr. Benjamin Towgraduated from the National University of Singapore [NUS] and obtained his post-graduate degrees Masters of Medicine in Orthopedics from NUS and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons [Edinburgh] in Orthopaedics. He obtained US Medical Licensing in 2005 and is ECFMG- certified in California USA.

He has also been registered with the General Medical Council in the UK. He completed a 1 year fellowship attachment at the UCLA Comprehensive Spine Centre, Los Angeles, USA, where he was mentored by Professor Jeffrey Wang and Dr Larry Khoo. His focus is on on degenerative conditions of the spine, deformity-surgery and minimally-invasive spine surgery, as well as percutaneous injections for spine conditions. Upon return from his overseas attachment in 2007, Dr Tow practised as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Singapore General Hospital [SGH], which has the highest volume of spine surgeries in Singapore. From 2009 – 2012, he was the highest-volume surgeon performing spinal surgeries at the Singapore General Hospital. Apart from spine surgery, Dr Benjamin Tow is also a fully-qualified orthopaedic surgeon. Coming from a tertiary referral centre, he has extensive experience in managing general Orthopaedic conditions of the knee, hip, ankle and upper limb. While at the Singapore General Hospital, Dr Tow was also a member of the Trauma service, performing numerous surgeries for patients with traumatic fractures of the upper and lower limb. Dr Benjamin Tow is also well-versed with paediatric orthopaedic conditions.

He received training at the Kandang Kerbau Women’s and Children’s Hospital, which is the largest Children’s Hospital in Singapore. Dr Benjamin Tow is also adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke – NUS Graduate Medical School and Clinical Tutor of NUS – Yong Loo Lin Medical School. He is also invited speaker and lecturer at local and international courses for Spine surgery and Minimally Invasive Spine surgery, and has trained many overseas fellows in the practice of spinal surgery.
